Novotel Bali Airport, Bali – Hotel Review

Novotel Bali Airport Location

Jl. Raya Ngurah Rai, Ngurah Rai International Airport,
Kuta 80362, Indonesia

First Impressions

Novotel Bali Airport hotel staff are professional, well groomed and courteous and the hotel decor is modern, fresh and clean and the lobby areas spacious, open and welcoming. Check in was simple and quick. At the time of our stay, this hotel had only been open for 6 weeks and we will be interested to revisit when next in Bali to see if the same great standards and efficiency are still in place.

Check In

Not Normal Living had 6 hours to spare before flying out of Bali on a late night flight so we had heard about great day/hourly rates at this brand new Novotel Bali Airport that is connected to the Bali international airport.

Cost per hour up to 6 hours is approx $10AUD per hour or for a full night stay prices start from $85AUD per night. This is exceptional value given that the hotel is brand new, has all the features you expect from the Novotel chain and is a 3 min easy walk undercover from the Bali Airport. From the Arrivals or Departures area follow the signs to the Domestic Airport & Airport Hotel.
Check in staff were only to helpful to offer us a day rate for our stay.

The Room

We stayed in a standard room and it was very spacious, clean and very quiet. It is tastefully decorated and no outside noise can be heard from the rooms.

The bathroom shower features a standard shower head along with a rainforest shower head above, just divine! Water pressure was excellent. The air conditioning is quick to cool the room. The toilet features a bidet, make sure you don’t mistake the bidet button for the toilet flush button like we did in our exhaustion!
The audio/USB/PC input station on the desk is a nice touch for business and tech travelers who need to charge devices.

Free tea and coffee making facilities are provided along with 2 complimentary bottles of mineral water. An in room safe and small refrigerator are provided and the room has good storage for suitcases and belongings.

Facilities

The Novotel Bali Airport hotel features a good size pool, gym, on site restaurant, business centre and kids play area in the main lobby.

Dining

There is an onsite restaurant but we opted for room service as we wanted to have some down time and rest after a busy week in Bali and before flying home.

Room service was delivered in around 20 minutes and while it was expensive by Bali standards, approx $30AUD all up inclusive of taxes for 2 beef burgers, fries and 2 soft drinks, the food was tasty, filling and well prepared. Remember that hotels and resorts charge a 21% government service/tax charge in Bali. This is on top of menu prices. If you don’t want to eat at the hotel, the airport has a few good food options prior to security that all visitors can access including a Coffee Club. A large range of options are available after check in and security.

Final Verdict

Not Normal Living highly recommends the Novotel Bali Airport hotel for day stays or for overnight/ transit stays and we will visit again for these types of stays.
In some areas of the hotel if you look closely you can still see some minor building imperfections and typical “Bali” workmanship but overall the hotel is well finished.
With the choices in accommodation in Kuta and surrounding areas we wouldn’t suggest this hotel for your base hotel for your stay in Bali as it would be a little hectic and a time waster getting taxis in and out of the hotel and airport to the popular tourist areas.
