The Not Normal Living team arrived to Bluesky Breckenridge late afternoon by using the well known Summit Express who picked us up in a private shuttle from the Denver International Airport. Summit Express on private services schedule in, if required, a 30 minute stop at a large supermarket and adjacent liquor store to allow for you to buy your groceries and alcohol for the week. The Condos are self contained with great appliances, a full size refrigerator, microwave and oven/cooktop so it makes cooking simple meals, breakfasts, snacks right through to gourmet dinners a breeze.
Check in was smooth and friendly and we were in our condo within 15 minutes and ready to head to the on site ski rental shop to hire our gear for the week.
The Room
Not Normal Living stayed in a well appointed 2-bedroom condo at BlueSky Breckenridge. The master bedroom is a perfect parents retreat if traveling with family with a king-size bed, TV, ample wardrobe space, in room safe with an attached master bathroom en suite with a full shower and bath. The second bedroom offers a queen size bed and TV with a separate main bathroom. A queen size sofa bed in the living room area . All up the configuration allows space for up to 6 adults comfortably per 2 bedroom condo. Both the master bedroom and living area have doors that open out onto the condo’s private balcony. Our Condo had views out over the main building and forest.
The supplied bathrobes and slippers are welcomed after long days on the slopes and for going between the condo and the heated pools and hot tubs for afternoon catchups and drinks (plastic solo cups are supplied self serve on entry to the pool area – no glass allowed for safety)
Each condo features a gas stone fireplace and the fully equipped kitchen comes with major appliances such as a refrigerator, oven and dishwasher, as well as a microwave, coffee maker, toaster and house an in room washer and dryer. Additional in-unit amenities include multiple TV’s with cable and complimentary high speed internet access. The room is serviced daily by housekeeping.
Facilities
BlueSky offers a free local shuttle to guests for visits to the town centre and underground car parking spaces are complimentary. There is a ski rental shop on site and guests receive a discount for rentals along with a great heated outdoor pool area and hot tubs plus a fitness centre, a games room, a lounge bar and function spaces for conferences and special events.
The guest lounge and lobby offers free tea, coffee and hot chocolate and join staff and fellow guests in the bar each afternoon for free warm baked cookies and hot chocolate after a full day of skiing.

Dining
Breckenridge (or “Breck” as it is affectionately known to locals) has some of the best restaurants, bars, breweries and cafes in Colorado and the quaint township just adds to the dining ambiance and experience especially during winter. Check out the Breckenridge Dining Guide online for all the great options available. Not Normal Living loved and recommends Blue Stag Saloon in the main street, they are the home of $1 Buffalo wings and their Wild Mushroom Venison Stroganoff is delicious!
Hot Tip
This is a ski in – ski out property, BlueSky Breckenridge sits right next to the resort’s Snowflake Lift. Walk up about 8 steps from the exit from the ski room with your gear and find yourself at the gondola ready to summit the mountain for the morning. The gondola itself mainly services BlueSky s is relatively quiet all day. To ski in for the day take the 4 o’clock run and cross the small private road and you’re back to the entry to the ski room to hang up your boots and skis for the day.
Final Verdict
The Not Normal Living team loved our stay at BlueSky Breckenridge. The condo was perfect for our group of 6 adults and we loved being able to catch the Snowflake lift just outside our resort. We had a great week staying at this property and will return on our next trip to Breck!
