Berlin Sites

The Reichstag Building – The Reichstag, the German Parliament building, is the most famous landmark in Berlin.
The Brandenburg Gate – is an 18th-century neoclassical monument in Berlin, and one of the best-known landmarks of Germany. It is built on the site of a former city gate that marked the start of the road from Berlin to the town of Brandenburg an der Havel. During the post-war Partition of Germany, the gate was isolated and inaccessible immediately next to the Berlin Wall. The area around the gate was featured most prominently in the media coverage of the tearing down of the wall in 1989, and the subsequent German reunification in 1990.
The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe – The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe in the centre of Berlin is the German Holocaust Memorial honouring and remembering the up to six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust. Located between the Brandenburg Gate and Potsdamer Platz

Accommodation in Berlin

Hotel NH Berlin Mitte – Not Normal Living highly recommends this 4 star hotel in the city centre – it’s a really handy base for exploring Berlin by foot. A couple of minutes walk from one of the main shopping streets and some of Berlin’s biggest sights are an easy walk away too. The rooms are modern, very clean and well appointed. The hotel restaurant is excellent.
